Summary
Beast Boy was born with a rare skin disease that was cured with a serum created from a green monkey that gave him the anomalous ability to turn into any animal he could imagine. He was originally adopted by Elasti-Girl and Mento, who assumed the position as parents and accepted him as he was and, additionally, recruited him for the Doom Patrol. However, he later joined the Teen Titans as a superhero. After joining several failed attempts at the team, he finally decided to stick to the new one led by Raven.
He is well renowned for his tragic past and is typically said to be prone to emotional trauma covered by his light-hearted mood.
